Easy Weekend Look

I hope everyone is enjoying a long weekend! Even if you aren't off today, I hope you had a memorable Valentine's Day weekend and spent time with loved ones. I wanted to create a quick post about this laid-back ensemble for a Saturday or Sunday brunch date with pals. I wore this on Saturday, and I loved how easy it was to throw together.

My J. Crew ruffle-hem sweatshirt gets so much use! I dress it up with pencil skirts (remember this?) and dress it down with jeans.
It's from last Christmas, thanks to my big sis. But here, here, here and here are equally as adorable options. Mixed media sweaters are extremely on trend right now. A flouncy ruffle or lace trim peeping out from your sweater is such a fun way to spruce up a seemingly plain top.

It might be a little hard to tell in these photos, but I'm wearing an extra-long collared shirt from the Loft (over a year old). Try this as an alternative. This extra long tunic is a perfect option, too!
Also, this top from Loft was adorable in-store last weekend-- the ruffle and peplum are so flattering. That periwinkle color is striking in person, too!

My jeans are skinnys from Banana Republic and fit SO well. I love rolling them twice at the bottom and wearing them with my Sperry Duck Boots and fancy critter socks!
Of course, don't forget your monogram necklace from Moon and Lola!

What's your simple, go-to Saturday look?
PS: a special thanks to my sweet MIL for the awesome coffee mug! It says, "if you stumble, make it part of your dance!" What a fabulous saying by which to live. My mom actually has a painting framed at her home in Ohio that says the exact quote. Pretty cool! :-)
