J. Crew Silk Midi and Gingham Mules + Seb's Baptism!

Over the weekend, we celebrating Sebastian's baptism!  It was so wonderful to have all our families in town from Michigan and Ohio for the occasion. Father Peck married us almost 3 years ago at St. John Neumann, and he baptized Seb which was so special!

This little outfit on Sebastian was worn by all of Mike's older brothers (and Mike!) starting in 1975 with Scott!

My dress: here.

This J. Crew dress runs TTS! It comes with straps, but they are removable, and I kept them off. I am in a 6 for reference! I ordered my dress from the J. Crew line at Nordstroms when it was slightly cheaper, but now they're sold out at Nords! However, I would ask J. Crew for a price match! It was $112 from Nords! The colors on this dress are even more vibrant IRL!

These shoes are sooooo comfy!! On sale now for $31!

The baptismal gown Sebastian wore for the ceremony was made by my great grandma in the early 1920s for my grandma Audrey (mom's mom) to wear. Then my mom, uncle Gery, sister, me and Finn all wore it! Now Seb!

My sister, Anna, (left) is Sebastian's Godmother.  Shout out to Auntie Ash (right) for taking all the pics of the ceremony for me! She's the best!

Anna's dress: by Loft-- on sale!

My cousin's dress: by Express-- BOGO $19.90 of everything on their site!  It looked so perfect on Ashley!

A little family pic after the ceremony!

Flashback to our wedding...

Crazy how just three years ago we were in this very spot getting married!!!

Again, how has it been three years since Father Peck married us?! He's such an amazing priest.

Proud parents! We love you, Sebastian Joseph!

How are you handling this heat wave!? I am LOVINGGGG it! Mike always laughs at me because I literally love the hottest weather.

Black Maxi with Cut Outs

You guys: this DRESS!!!!  I found it randomly on Loft's website--  it is the comfiest maxi I have ever owned. It is perfect to throw on and go with sandals-- I have worn it out to lunch one afternoon and then to have people over for a bonfire on another night. You can easily dress it up (or down). I am in a size small for reference. Size down on this one. The best part is it's not soooooooo long. I am 5'6, and I wasn't walking all over it like I usually am with my maxi dresses! The cut outs are fun, but not TOO revealing.  Additionally, you can wear a normal strapless bra with it, which is key! It also comes in a gorgeous floral print!

I want the floral one, too, now!!

Some of my Pure Barre girls!! ^^^

Lip color: my trusty Stila stay all day! In Bella!

Earrings: J. Crew Factory. $13-- in navy and magenta!

Isn't the back so fun?

I absolutely love this look for summer. It's dressed up but SIMPLE and easy to replicate.

The Best Skirt You'll Ever Own, and It's $32!!!

Hello!!! I am baaaaaaaaaaack! With a little more sleep than last month. I am trying to keep up with the blog, but typically my #ootds are Lululemon capris and a workout tank or graphic tee. HA!!  Usually both are covered with spit up. Or, in today's case, spit up, a smidge of poop and a smattering of pee. Sebastian had a field day today with his mama! haha! This outfit is soooo simple to recreate, and the skirt is my favorite ever. I-- literally-- have 6 of them. It's the best skirt I've ever owned. I have a size 4 (for my really skinny days haha), then a few size 6s for my normal times, and then this one below is a size 8 for reference. It is TTS, comfy, a perfect length for work, and it has POCKETS!!

^^ Seb had a different outfit on for the party, but he promptly projectile vomited in it. HA! This was #ootd number two. "Baby Leprechaun"! Perfect for a Notre Dame/Saint Mary's crew party.

Some snaps from Milly and Finn's joint 2nd birthday party, Jackie and Ben's housewarming party and Jackie's graduation from her Notre Dame Executive MBA program!!!

Instagram Round Up! My #ootds Lately

Hello!   I wanted to do an Instagram round up post of my recent outfits. Everything I have been wearing lately has been really simple/pretty comfy/a bit oversized (haha!) and super easy to recreate, as I transition back into non-maternity clothes and try to get this new job of MOM under control. Here are some of my #ootd looks lately.

We just celebrated my cousin Josh's 40th birthday ('Merica and camo themed-- haha! Love it!), and I wore this extremely comfy tomato-red loft sweater. I thought I wouldn't wear this sweater until next fall, but it was sooooo chilly here on Saturday!
My mom and my sister-- my two most important mamas in my life! So happy my mom could be here for Mother's Day. We haven't been together on Mother's Day since high school because I was always away at school or living in Illinois.

Seb slept through the entire party LOL

Photobombing cuzzies!

My goddaughter, Bryn, in Lilly from me! haha!

Silly faces!

Sweater: here-- on sale for 40% off-- currently $16!! Runs a little big... size down!

Gold monogram necklace: here.

Auntie Anna with Seb!

Obviously, Sebastian had to match the camo theme!

The little cuzzies looooooooved Seb. They sang to him and gave him kisses while he snoozed in his car seat. It was so so so sweet.

Friday night, Mike's band played at Even Flow in Geneva, and we had our first babysitter!

Olivia, Kyle and Jackie came over before!!

The drummer extraordinaire! He is sooooo talented!

Peplum/bell-sleeve top: similar here on sale!

Pearl lantern earrings: on sale here!

See above for my Moon and Lola monogrammed necklace link!

Oh, yea-- I also got a major haircut! See below for the before and after:

Annalisa at Beautiful You Salon in St. Charles is fabulous. She's been cutting my hair for 6 years! I hadn't had a haircut since my birthday (January 6 haha), and I hadn't had my hair colored since 2012. LOL! Overdue.

My mom came back into town last week to help us (she is a saint!), and she told us to go out to dinner. She insisted. We went to Bien Trucha (AMAZE), and we were gone for a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes, but it was great to have a date night with Mike.

Of course we came home and needed our Sebastian snuggles.

Patterns on patterns on patterns! lololol.
