About Belle On Trend

Meet @BelleOnTrend

^^ the man behind the cam (typically), my amazing husband, Mike.
Bella (with Mike) and Bentley (with me).

Hi! I'm Mary, AKA Belle On Trend. Coming to you from the quaint town of Geneva, IL, a western 'burb of Chicago!

About me: I'm just your average high school English teacher (& Saint Mary's College alum!) who adores all things fashion-related.

Why I write: As an English major and teacher, my life revolves around reading and writing. To be able to combine two of my passions, writing and fashion, feels like the perfect outlet for me.  I adore fashion: planning a daily outfit is so much fun. I love to match (and sometimes mismatch-- pattern play!) each aspect of my look.  I work in a high school, so it is fabulous for me to have compliments from the kids about my wardrobe. It feels fantastic to have my style noticed! It's been a dream of mine to create a fashion blog. I finally told myself: if not now, when will I ever begin?  I love the mantra: "she believed she could, so she did." Just like that, Belle On Trend was born. (Many thanks to my tech savvy better half who walked me through the blogging specifics!).

In my spare time: I love to take Pure Barre classes, run, snuggle with our pups, Bella and Bentley, and read!

Favorite quotes: As Lululemon always guides us-- dance, floss. travel (and I'll add in: pray, run, read and shop!). One of my other favorite quotes comes from Sophia Amoruso, from the novel #Girl Boss: "Clothing is ultimately the suit of armor in which we battle the world." I absolutely love that and agree! Also, "You can never be overdressed or overeducated." Amen, Oscar Wilde!

Thanks so much for reading!
